Closely connected to religious faiths, a transitional economic era, cultural heritage, and maintaining the stability of the established social classes in Taiwan, puppetry plays an important role in the art culture of Taiwan. This dance is choreographed based on the founder’s childhood memories of puppetry. The dance incorporates a combination of the sometimes stiff actions of the puppets in puppetry and agile dance moves, merging traditional culture with Western Jazz dances and creating a new dance trend that has Taiwan cultural characteristics and reflects the society demands for new innovations.
