Constantly bearing the impacts of Eastern and Western cultures, modern women are struggling to strike a balance between the modern emphasis on individualized thought and the traditional role identity differences expected of Eastern women. The Chinese believe in reincarnation where the end of one life begets the beginning of another which is like a second opportunity to choose goals in life and style of living.
